Gratitude and CiceroSix Figure Moms, What are you REALLY grateful for?  As I’ve read other blogs and articles, I’ve been thinking about this question all week.  I decided I wanted my post to be narrow so I’ve asked myself this question:

“If you only get to give one answer, what ONE thing are you most grateful for?”

My answer is STRUGGLE.  I’m so thankful for the struggle I have in my life and for so many reasons.

  • Struggle makes me continue to grow and think about things from a multitude of perspectives.
  • Struggle reminds me that I’m alive.

Thankgiving OverwhelmAre you cooking Thankgiving dinner this week? If yes, have you started already? If your answer is no, then I likely just made you feel a little stressed out and a bit overwhelmed. I know, I know some of you superwomen are shaking your heads no and saying no problem, I’ve got it covered. Well, if that’s the case, you’ve got a lot on me. I’m willing to bet, many of you are dreading the cooking exercise.

A concerned friend called me this week to ask my opinion about putting her children’s pictures on social media sites like Facebook. She knew I had strong opinions about this topic but wanted to discuss pros and cons of both sides of the issue with me. I relayed my thoughts to her as follows:

  • I don’t publish pictures of my daughter on the internet….period. Not anywhere.
  • Since this has not always been my policy so I ask friends and family to alert me if they come upon a picture that I’m not aware of so that I can promptly remove it.

LA Wild Fires and Twitter

I was working on another project this morning at my kitchen table with the window open.  It’s a typical Santa Ana fall weekend in San Diego where it feels like the threat of fires.  When you’ve lived here through both the Cedar and the Witch Creek fires, your sensors are up for that kind of stuff in the fall.  Both of those fires came within a mile of my home.  Luckily, we survived with minor damage and big messes from both.  Comparitively speaking, over 400 homes in my community were lost last year.  It was a devastating time.

Recently while waiting for an appointment, I read one of Cosmopolitan magazine’s famous lists about what men really want in a relationship, Why He Likes You.  Although Cosmo’s target audience is likely much younger than our Six Figure Moms Club husbands, the survey results seem omnigenerational.  When was the last time you read a Cosmo article and compared it to how you treat your hubby?  What if improving your relationship is that easy?  Below are just a few hints of what men enjoy from the survey but be sure to read the article.  You just might end up reconnecting with your spouse with very little effort.  They love us because:
