			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.sixfiguremomsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/hourglass.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-74" title="hourglass" src="http://www.sixfiguremomsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/hourglass.jpg" alt="" width="112" height="115" /></a>I know I wrote about RSS feeders before but I love them so much I just have to bring it up again.  As a working mother, you need every minute you can get.  This can help you.  Seriously!  (Sorry, Yes, I admit, before I started blogging I was, in fact, a <a href="http://www.greyswriters.com/2008/05/the-blog-betwee.html">Grey&#8217;s Anatomy</a> fan).  I was talking to another Six Figure Mom today and I showed her how easy it is to use RSS.  She was amazed and ecstatic about her new toy.  If you already use an iGoogle or My Yahoo page, you have what you need to accept RSS feeds (there are others you may be using too but these are most mainstream).  If you don&#8217;t have a personalized homepage, you can establish one in about 2 minutes.  If you are still having doubts about whether you want to invest the time, read this post,  <a href="http://www.ducttapemarketing.com/blog/page/3/">&#8220;RSS, It&#8217;s Not Just For Blogs Anymore&#8221;</a>, written by John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing.   His post includes a link to 100 Cool Things You Can Do With RSS Feeders. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Verdana;"><a href="http://www.sixfiguremomsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/feed-icon.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-25" title="feed-icon" src="http://www.sixfiguremomsclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/feed-icon-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>When I first started talking about building a blog, several Six Figure Moms commented to me that they didn’t read blogs.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>They wondered if this median was the right choice to reach our demographic.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I did a lot of research in this area and while I still can’t answer the question of whether all Six Figure Moms read blogs, I can tell you that LOTS of people do.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>The media selects a very high percentage (&lt;80%) of stories from blogs today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>What that says to me, is that anyone writing about cutting edge topics is likely posting somewhere in a blog.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>If that’s true, then I want to make sure I’m reading blogs to keep up with new trends.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>I also think keeping up with technology will lessen the generation gap between me and my daughter as we both get older.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Another really cool thing I love about blogs is how easy it is to assimilate information in one place using RSS feeds.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>It’s like reading the paper on steroids.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>You see, an RSS feeder lets me pick the sources of information I’m interested in and add them to a customized website.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Therefore, I only see info pertinent to me and can avoid the stuff that’s just noise.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Fabulous for those of us who already can’t find enough hours in the day.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Internet Marketing Expert, Rachel Pradhan of Blaze Interactive, provides a more technical description of blogs and RSS Feeders in her <a href="http://www.blazeinteractive.com/blog/2007/06/what-is-rss-feed.html">blogpost</a>.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>So, hurry, read it and get your custom news site going today.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Once you do, you’ll wonder why you waited so long.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>You can also click on one of the buttons below under subscribe and my posts will automatically show up on your new aggregator page.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></p>
