Is Your Child Just Strapped on Like an Accessory?
Today I was driving down to Encinitas, Ca for a speaking engagement when I looked over at the Beach and realized how lucky I really am. It had to be one of the most beautiful days I’ve seen at the beach in a long while. I don’t live by the ocean, but I do see the beach at least once each week.
I presented to the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club on social media for my company Square Martini Media. (Thanks to Katherine Wichmann Zacharias for the invitation)! Afterward, I was answering questions with a few folks but my mind was wandering as I gazed over their shoulders out the window into the ocean. I had one thing on my mind-DOLPHINS.
Here in California, it’s not unusual to see dolphins swimming by but it had been a long time since I’d seen any. Perhaps it had even been as long as a year. I sent a tweet out on Twitter that I was looking for dolphins but no luck.
The meeting ended, I walked outside to my car and the club president shouted outside his car, “Look, There’s dolphins over there”. I was so excited. “Yippee!” I watched as they frolicked in the ocean for awhile before I got down to my next task. It was now time to record the video that follows. I recently heard a comment about Six Figure Moms Club that re energized me about why this groups needs to exist. Click above and listen as I talk about the following:
- Our next meeting is Thursday night, June 18, 7pm.
- We’re taking the Summer off!
- We’re revamping our entire meeting strategy for San Diego.
- There’s still a BIG perception issue between moms that work and moms that stay home!

Angie,
Great post and video!! I really missed you here, we need you to write more often on this blog too if only to give us (fabulous women) your inspiration. I was just telling about the SFMC to one of my Japanese friends, assuring that it’s a very supportive environment. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Hi Angie,
I love your blogs and encouragement to give us and each other recognition that we are doing great jobs as moms, entreprenuers, friends, and social networkers. In a busy day, it is nice to stop and recognize and be recognized. Make it a great week!

Great video and post. Seeing those dolphins in person must have been an amazing experience.
It’s wonderful to see you posting again. We definitely need to help moms understand each other. Keep up the hard work for all of our sakes!
