The first thing I read today was Seth Godin’s post on Authenticity. He says that “If it acts like a duck , it’s a duck. It doesn’t matter if the duck thinks it’s a dog, it’s still a duck as far as the rest of us are concerned.”  Seth’s thoughts today apply to working mothers because they are directly related to getting past your self doubt and acting like the person you want to be.  He implies that if you can do that, others will see you as who you want to be and you’ll live it.  Easy right?

So, back to me.  I immediately got up and started writing.  First I wrote a post on Square Martini Media and next this one.  Seth’s content is just so good, I think might be able to write about it every day this week!

Seth gives the example of Mother Theresa who was an Atheist but used her actions to define herself.  Further, he says, “Authenticity, for me, is doing what you promise, not “being who you are”.  His post is really fabulous and discusses how we’re all filled with self doubt but our actions can easily drown out negative self talk.  You must go read it for yourself.
