Last Thursday, I attended the Six Figure Moms Club event, 3rd Annual Making the Most of Your Personal Strategy New Year Kickoff. It was a great event.
I met and reconnected with so many women who share similar interests and aspirations, and I created my vision board while delicious food and wine were served. I came home exhausted but happy, and told my husband that finding the Six Figure Moms Club was one of the best things that happened after we moved to San Diego.
I was pondering writing a post about whether or not I’m a Mommy Blogger this morning. Funny, I hadn’t started writing and then I came across this article at Mashable The Top 10 Misconceptions About Mommy Bloggers by Jessica Smith @JessicaKnows on Twitter.
People always ask me this question when I go to Social Media events. I don’t think I’m a Mommy Blogger but maybe I’m wrong. I’m not sure what the definition really is. In actuality it doesn’t really matter. I’m not a person who likes to put people into boxes or to be classified myself (unless that it, is you want to call me things like Successful, Six Figure Mom, Millionaire, Independent, Entrepreneur, Working Mother
Well, I don’t know if she makes Six Figures but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she did. I met Kim Rowley last week at Affiliate Summit. She was a nominee for a 2009 Pinnacle Award for Affiliate of the Year. She’s a mom and an affiliate marketer and she sells something most of us women love…SHOES! Check out her website, Shoeaholics Anonymous. She sells great shoes and she’s also an affiliate for Zappos.com. I love Zappos and I was reminded why several times over the past week.
Friday I’m off to Las Vegas for Affiliate Summit West. This is my first trip to this conference and my first venture into Affiliate Marketing. I’m excited to start learning about this new area. I signed up to cover this event on a press pass representing Six Figure Moms Club. I really think there might be some opportunities for reengineering your careers in this area so I want to learn more and pass it along to you guys.
Again today, I am amazed at what you can reach if you just grasp for it. I don’t know why this continues to amaze me, since I continue to see it working in action, but I am still in awe of Law of Attraction. I had my calender blocked yesterday to work on the January Six Figure Moms Club event. My plan was to announce the upcoming “3rd Annual Making the Most of Your Personal Strategy New Year Kickoff”. It’s scheduled for January 22 at a private residence in Fairbanks Ranch, Ca.

Happy New Year Working Mothers!

You’ve officially made it through another year without popping, killing anyone, passing out or throwing in the towel. How’s that for starting off negative? I say those things because I know that you’ve all had days where you felt those emotions. How do I know? Because you’ve told me over the past three years. A working mother’s biggest enemy is often herself and the high expectations she holds herself to. I’d like to suggest that you try to leave some of those expectations behind as we close the doors to 2008. In my next post, I’ll be writing about one of my New Year’s traditions. It’s a process I created about eight years ago which helps me close the year and refocus my thoughts on moving forward with a new set of plans for the new year.
